Cut/Paste a Request For Information

Depending on your privileges, Request For Information (RFI) can be moved between folders the user has access to using the Cut function. Since the Cut action is protected by role-based permissions to safeguard RFI, the user must have the Cut role enabled in the RFI role permission.

To cut one or more RFI(s):

  1. Select the folder containing the RFI(s) to be moved.

  2. In the List View, click the checkbox(es) next to the RFI(s) you want to move.

  3. Click the Cut button.

  4. Navigate to the destination folder.

  5. Click the Paste button to complete the move.

When items are successfully cut, the following message will appear:
“Item(s) Cut to Clipboard.”

The Cut button remains disabled until one or more RFI(s) are selected.

The Paste button remains disabled until one or more RFI(s) have been cut to the clipboard.

Once RFI(s) are moved to a new location, a success alert will appear in the top-right corner with the message:
“Item(s) pasted successfully.”

RFI(s) selection is not preserved, after user successfully pastes the RFI(s) into other folder path. Moving RFI(s) is currently allowed only within the same project.

Moving RFIs will update RFI’s Date Modified, and Modified By attributes and does not change the RFI name/prefix automatically.
