Email Tracking Options
When a notification email is sent from infinitrac, the system can record when the recipient opens it—provided certain email settings are enabled.
To help ensure the Date Received field is updated correctly:
The recipient should choose to display the full content of the email.
In Microsoft Outlook, this is typically done by clicking “Click here to download pictures” or “Show all content” at the top of the message.
Most importantly, this action allows the sender to know that the recipient has received and viewed the report. If the recipient does not choose to show the full content, the Date Received field may remain blank.
Additionally, infinitrac tracks every time the email is opened—not just the first time—providing a more complete view of recipient engagement.
This feature is especially useful in modules like Submittals, RFIs, NCRs, Outgoing Transmittals, and QIRs, where tracking delivery and acknowledgment is essential for project documentation and compliance.
In addition to email views, infinitrac also tracks when a recipient downloads the report package directly from the system. When this happens, the Date Opened field is automatically updated.
If you ever need to verify whether a notification email was sent or opened, the infinitrac support team can assist. Upon request, they can manually trace the email using internal tools to confirm delivery status and read activity.
