Uploading Files to a Quality Incident Report

To upload a file and associate it with a Quality Incident Report:

  1. Navigate to the Quality Incident Report’s Detail View, by clicking on the “< List“ button

  2. Select the “+” button in the Files section.

User can drag and drop files or browse and select files from the explorer. Multiple files can be added for upload.

If a file was already uploaded to the project's File Management module, there is no need to upload it again to a Quality Incident Report: User can associate the file.

Note: Deletion of a file associated with a Quality Incident Report is permanent and can not be reversed.

Associating Files to a Quality Incident Report

Instead of uploading a file directly to an Quality Incident Report, user can also associate an existing file uploaded to a project's File Management module. Files can have multiple Quality Incident Report associations, and the file will be displayed in each Daily Report's detailed view.

One file cannot be associated with the same submittal multiple times.

Dynamic Linking

User can turn dynamic linking on/off when associating a file to an Quality Incident Report.
Revisions can be uploaded to the files from File Management's folder Detail View, and if the latest revision is changed, it will update for all associated Quality Incident Report(s) if dynamic linking is turned on.
If dynamic linking is turned off, changing the latest revision in the File Management module will not change the revision in associated Quality Incident Reports.

To associate a file to a Quality Incident Report:

  1. Navigate to the "Files" section in a Quality Incident Report's Detail View.

  2. Click on the link button (see screenshot below)

  3. A new window will open, displaying the File Management Module's folder tree structure.

  4. Select the files to associate to the Quality Incident Report,

  5. Turn Dynamic Linking on/off via the check box in the top right corner of the new window

  6. Click on "Associate" button.

The selected files will now appear in the Quality Incident Report's "Files" section.

Files in File Management with multiple Quality Incident Report associations can not be deleted without confirmation.

Uploading Folder Structure

Instead of simply uploading multiple files into one Quality Incident Report, user can also upload entire folder structures (with subfolders, files). These structures need to be archived/zipped prior to upload, and infinitrac will upload and unpack them into the selected transmittal.

To upload a folder structure:

  1. Navigate to the "Files" section in a Quality Incident Report's Detail View.

  2. Click on the “Upload Folder Structure” button (see screenshot below)

  3. A new window will open, displaying a dropzone where user can drag and drop files or browse and select files from the explorer.

  4. Click on “Upload” button, located in the dropzone.

The accepted extensions (zip, tar, gz) will also be displayed.

Uploading large/multitude of files and folders can take time, depending on the internet connection. User will receive an e-mail notification as soon as the upload finishes, including details of the uploaded folder structure's location within the file management module.
